She is my grandmother have her marriage certificate ,living in Middlesborough in 1913 ,living in Hartlepool in 1915. but cannot find her before then |

Susan, ages on census can never be relied on and are often a year or so out. It all depends on the person's actual birth date and the date when the census was taken. |

Another point, in 1891 the families didn't fill in their own census so if the enumerator misheard Hester instead of Esther that is quite feasible. |

I may have been looking at the wrong spelling of name . Always known her as Esther,which is on certifacate also. But started as Hester |

I agree they look like they lived together in 1911 i found the same one.the adress on the marraige certificate is 9 Branch st South Bank and 25 Branch St South Bank Middlesborough. |
