That Old Bailey stuff is fascinating!


It has to be this William Gowing in at least some of them!

You are right Sylvia - I had found that - hence I knew he was a Baker and Corn Chandler.

If you want a really good one - look up my gg grandfather John Peters (braid/ribbon manufacturer) in about 1830 - defence seems to be "it fell of the back of a cart my Lord"!! Fortunately he got off.
