I was going by the transcription by FMP but looking at the image it seems that she was down as daughter. I edited my post accordingly.

Hi Sue C it's unfortunate that there is a black line through how she is related to Francis but I don't think it says daughter in law; if you look at the entry for Mary A Dau it looks the same as that for Ann

The 1851 census shows Harriet as a daughter in law, Ann has daughter and a squiggle ( looks like "10") next to it.

The 1851 posted by Londonbelle shows Ann as daughter in law to Francis, so not too sure that Nanny & Ann are one and the same.

Edit.......taken a look at the image, and it looks as if Ann was daughter.

With above baptism perhaps this is the 1851 census....perhaps the Enumerator put 'Ann' rather than 'Nan'

Don't think that is her. On all the later census she says she was born Idle.There is a John on that one same as the other but age a bit out but no William but a Betty of same age.
