Find Ancestors

Trying to find marriage records of my maternal grandmother Margaret Angel Tolley to my maternal grandfather James Francis/Frank Slade born c. 1885. They gave birth to twins, my mother Margaret Maud Patricia Slade born 1924 and my uncle Frederick G. W. Slade. Have found Margaret Angel Tolley's birth record, and Margaret Angel Slade's death record (she died aged 27), but unable to find marriage record. Any help most appreciated.

I can't find a birth registration for the twins either

The only record of your mother's name on Ancestry is her marriage

No record of any sort for Frederick G W Slade

The twins seem to have been born in India !!

So perhaps Margaret & James got married in India too? That would account for not been able to find a marriage

Sorry, a bit slow at this. The twins were born on 27th March 1924 in Peshawar NWFP, India. Have got their records, and my mother's birth certificate (Margaret Maud Patricia). I am estranged from my mother, so not able to get more info about grandfather.

Have tried overseas marriage records but come up with a blank. Looked under military marriages, plus India records ...

Christine: I found the Alverstoke record for James Slade earlier, but he married someone else, not Margaret Angel Tolley.

Re the Ethel Tolley Flick found her children are with her on the image including a Margaret Tolley.
