but cannot find them at all

Had you found either parent before their marriage? There is quite a big time difference between the marriage and the children you have listed are you assuming they are their children?

Can't find a birth registration for Mary Amy nor Ellen Elizabeth, but posslble registration for Joseph Q4/884 Nottingham.

Hi Lorraine. You really need to send off for the marriage certificate of Caroline and John to get ages, occupations, father's names and addresses, etc. Without that you haven't much chance of tracing them accurately in any census.

Added: Did you get the address of Ristes Place from birth certificates? If so, can you give us the information about John from that.
