Hi Lynne
The marriage I posted for James Frederick on the 27th of Jan 1850 is from the original Parish records.
I have seen the marriage cert myself it is correct for those dates,as I said in a previuos post the marriage banns were read in three different years 1846 and 47 but they finally married in 1850.

If you pm me your email address I will send you the original marriage cert itself.

Lynne

I also checked the original parish entry, and certificate, as shown on ancestry .... just as Sue did.

AND confirmed that the name Leasley was a transcriber's error ...... as I said, I have sent in a note re the correct spelling

This is the entry from freebmd

Marriages Mar 1850 (>99%)

Bass John Kensington 3 266
Burgess Harriet Kensington 3 266
Bushnell Emma Kensington 3 266
>>>>Grubb Eliza Kensington 3 266
>>>>Lewsley James Frederick Kensington 3 266
Milne Alexander Kensington 3 266
Morris Henry Kensington 3 266
Perry Rebecca Kensington 3 266

You will not see the quarter or year on the transcript image (I've just checked), because the year would have been on the very first page of the GRO volume from which this image has been taken, and the quarter might well have been either on that first page, or on an intervening page ...... and you cannot turn back to those pages.

You just have to trust that the transcribers transcribed the March 1850 correctly, as shown at the heading of the entry as I posted it above.
