Thanks for all the info Ozibird, you always seem to find the impossible, how do you do it? Do you have discs or a database, I would'nt mind having one myself, anyway thanks for all your help |

Hi, thanks, yes Janes birth cert would confirm mothers name. I also had Marys mother as Sarah Brooks, she may have remarried. Patchem if Lydia was Sarahs mother she must have had Mary before she married? I have just done a search for Thomas Byard and it seems he also only had his mothers name on record, well looks like I am going to his a dead end with this lot tonight. |

Hi again, I live a long way from the area these rellies came from, so not an option at the minute I am afraid, never mind, I might get lucky. In the meantime could you look at this census, its the 1851 census. |

Good luck, Cathy. This looks like a visit to the archives, doesn't it? |

Hi everyone, thanks for taking the time for this brick wall, yes Osibird I have tried to find this one before, thought I would give it another try. Its odd that some of the children are on the LDS but not the one I need. the youngest of the children was George he was born 1830 and died the same year, then Walter in 1833 which you have posted. Whatever happened to my Mary, I have her with other siblings on census but no sign of parish records for them. Thomas and Sarah married in 1830, in Wirksworth, Derby |

She may not show on free bmd as records do not start until September quarter of 1837, and was not compulsory. (Cannot see Dorothy either) |

Hmmm - the Belper birth may be a possibility. Although Walter is always born Derbyshire on census while Mary is always Ashby. |
