Details as above Harry Maughan 1863. Bethnal Green London, I have done my research with these details , but birth certificate can't be found !!! ;-(

Dear Tania,

The last lot of information has now been confirmed by me recieving Jane Rebeccas Birth Certificate. This enabled me to find the information.
Her Details are-D.O.B 30/12/1860 @ 13 Cromwell Place Lambeth.
Her mothers maiden name was Emma Pearson.She was born in Poplar abt 1830,
But as you say there isn't alot of information.Oh well here we go again,

Evening all, not having any luck with the marriage certificate, so ordering birth certificates.

Harry Maughan Bethnal Green 1863
as both fathers were deceased at time of marriage I haven't had much luck.
Lets see how i go with that, If anyone can help I would be very grateful

Update..................... Afternoon All hope everyone is well, Today I recieved my Great grandparents marriage certificate , so i'm off and hunting again.
The Details are,
DATE OF MARRIAGE...31 October 1898, @ The Church of the Holy Name and Our Lady of the Sacred Heart, Poplar, London.

Harry Maughan 34 years ( widower, which no one knew)General Labourer , but on census says wood chopper. His fathers name was Thomas Maughan ( deceased) he was a Labourer.

Jane Rebecca Green 36 years (widow) Her Fathers name was Alfred Cross(deceased) he was a Blacksmith

They both lived at 40 Glaucus Street ? (very hard to read writing.) Bow Common

Perhaps you would be better getting the marriage cert and taking it from there.

Once you have his father's name etc you can then work backwards

I have no further information on his family,

Found Janes maiden name Cross, born in Lambeth 1861

Haven't got that yet, Jane had been married b4 so not sure what her maiden name is, Well it says she was a widow ? All her other childrens surnames were Green . I think that might be my next step .

Susan do you have the marriage cert?
If so could you give us details of his father and occupation please ?
