You kindly looked up the 1911 census entry for Francis Grover, which showed Harry Wolley.. This also includes the word nurse - was this part of his name?
l am trying to work out where he fits in, also the where abouts of Eleanor Katie Grover in 1911, maybe she is in service somwhere as she would be 30 at that time

Both are Eleanor A, 1880 one is Ann as birth Cert, 1881 is Anne.

And l thought this part was sorted!

Ooh yes , I see...that's unusual ! interesting though that she is Eleanor Anne, which does fit with the middle initial on the 1881.

It seems that Francis and Eleanor have 2 marriages on record, in 1880 and 1881, l will have to get the certificate out that l have and perhaps get the other to find which is right.

Yes, you're probably right so that rules out any descendants from Eleanor.

it looks like the only possible connection would be through Doris Grover but there are too many marriages to go through and as yet no link on GR. Will have to hope someone there starts doing some family history

what has happened is an error in transcription but looking on the image...the number here is correct ( ie 159 NOT 139 as on record for Eleanor)

l think the marriage you found is correct, as l have found a death for Eleanor K Walker in Paddington in 1945, aged 64.

However, free bmd doesn't come up with the marriage so l can try to find yo find out her husband's name, would you have more luck and l could then try for his death.

Ther a is birth for a frederick Walker, with mmn of Grover but could be too late as is 1929

Yes these are my greatgrandparents, Joseph was my grandfather.
lt is amazing to see that although they had only been married for 6 years, they had had 6 children and lost 3 of them. l know that they had 2 more children, in 1912 and 1920. l assume that Thomas served in 1st World War, but not sure where to find out for sure.

l feel sure that this is the right one, very much the right area. l have found the marriage in 1910, and the birth of a daughter, Doris M in 1913.

There seem to,be several possible marriages for Doris so will hope l can find a connection on GR

l think l may have found a marriage for Arthur as it seems he may have been Arthur Reginald Grover. There is a marriage in Dec qtr 1910, in Paddington.
