My name is david r williams, I am and have been for 12 years trying to find my two children, I had a bad marriage break-up in Liskeard, cornwall and my ex wife moved without telling me, my experience has been that nobody wants to help the man in this situation, unless you pay them! and then you find facts are uncertain. My son is Josef Luke Williams and my daughter is Michelle Williams 23 and 25 respectively, they moved to Dorchester, Dorset in 1998, since then she has made certain all doors have been closed, I have all documentation from the courts re access etc, they are free of her now, is there anyone out there that can help with third party intervention perhaps

unfortunately you should not put living persons details here as the T&Cs dictate, have you tried sites like Facebook where young people communicate ?

Flick

Flick Report 16 Sep 2010 23:13

Your son's name does not appear on 192......so if he is registered to vote, he has chosen to withold his details.

There isn't a marriage for him in England/Wales

david

It`s as if they have become invisable, how is that possible?

Flick

Flick Report 16 Sep 2010 23:23

Quite easy..................

If people don't register to vote, they can't be traced. Equally, if they register but choose to withold their details from the public record, they can't be traced.

And if they don't marry, or die, they don't appear on the GRO index.

As adults, these young people are making their own decisions about how they control the info which is available about them

Have you tried the Salvation Army Family Tracing Service?

yes, they found them when they were under eighteen and Jackie told them not to disclose their whereabouts or she would take them to court, I waited until they were of age and tried the s/army again, the reply was ` we`vie tried once, we do not open old cases` so another door closed, but that's life!

I note that you have your son in your GR tree......this is against the site's T&C's. You are not allowed to include living people without their permission, and if you haven't seen them in 12 years, you can't possibly have their permission.

david

david Report 16 Sep 2010 23:48

Oh, I thought it was a family tree? Michelle is there also, I will remove them, thanks for that

Any chance your ex remarried and they have taken a different surname?

Just a thought, but couldn't David keep his children on his tree but just hide them? David you can set your tree to hide all living relatives who have been born within the last 120 years but have no death date.

I am sure someone will correct me if I am wrong.

Take care Lainey

Lainey

you can hide names on your tree ......... but if someone is looking for that name and puts it into the Search Trees, then the name appears as being in your tree.

so names are not really hidden
