You really need to buy the Certificate to be 100% sure who you are looking for as it could turn out that they never married. |

Unfortunately Ann I don't know where the marriage was possibly St. Helens, although as Les has pointed out they may not have married (didn't think of that.) |

It has been known John. I have a couple in my tree that never married but because he acknowledged the Children his Surname was given. |

Hi Dea + Cathy, I'm fairly sure I've got the right birth reference, not 100% though. Unfortunately I know nothing about Peter's parents or of any brothers and sisters. |

AoGG - the location's in the initial post - namely Prescot RD. John was right in his guess - the birth was rego'ed in the St Helens subdistrict of Prescot. |

Hi mgnv, I did try Ireland but there were no results for Stringfellows at all. However I couldn't find any sites for Scotland so Scotland is a possibility. |
