You want an Aussie for that job. Canucks are no good. ;) Actually, I'm good at NSW records, but the others I kind of haven't figured out. You do have to look in local death registers, not English "deaths abroad", and in Australia they're held by state (as in Canada by province), not nationally. |

Hi Janey its anne again I went to the cematory today and found all the drivers which you mentiond. I went to the office about the grave of James Wilkinson Driver who died in 1852 but he said it would be in the parish church at keighley. I have tried to find the death of James Driver born Sept 1831 he died in 1883 in Diamond hill sandhurst victoria australia. I wondered if he went there for the gold rush I have looked in all the deaths abroad but have hit a brick wall. I wondered if you could help me once more thanks. Anne p.s. It was written on the grave stone. |

Hi Janey thanks again for sorting me out. To answer your question the previous thread which was wrote in 2008 about Wilkinson Driver and Rebecca was my daughter Julie Anna Paton. At the time was doing family history but then got fed up. She is now working full time so is busy. I will now put the names on my family tree. Wilkinson Driver was my great grandad. Anne |

Anne, for some reason you've replied to the first post in this thread ... and said nothing about all the info I added, including census info confirming the family composition. |

Cute, Michael. ;) I don't actually remember things that long ago, although some might suspect. In fact, I "JaneyCanuck" didn't even exist at that time! I did post that thread earlier in this one, though, in case it was of interest to Anne. The name seems to have been carried down and those people are undoubtedly related. |

Hi Janey thanks for replying, sombody else wrote they had nine children. I found the baptism but it was in the name of Wilkinson Driver but all the others are james Wilkinson Driver. Maybe that one was a mistake. I found them all on the batch no CO10682. I think it could be the same family. what I was trying to find was jane and Wilkinsons marriage. |

Hi Anne, the info here wasn't from me; several people have been trying to help. I just thought this wasn't the first post I'd seen about this. Is this the only post you have made about it? |

Hi Shirlock thanks a lot for the information you have given me why I could not find him is because I was looking for a Wilkinson Driver. I think he was illegitmate as it only mentions his mother Betty Driver. Will I be able to find their marriage in the parish church at Keighley. I dont know his wifes maiden name. Thanks again Anne |

Hi Janey thanks a lot for helping me, All along I have been looking for a wilkinson Driver not James Wilkinson Driver. I did find thomas Wilkinson Driver baptisim in 1816 in Keighely and his father was Wilkinson Driver. that threw me. Was James wilkinson Driver illegitmate as you just mention Betty Driver. Will I able to find his marrriage in Keighley at the parish church. That was the oldest church then. Thanks again. Anne |

Was this same query not posted already just in the last day or two? The name is 100% familiar. What happened to that thread, if so? |
