Thomas Thorne snr appears with his sister Mary Matilda Gibbon at Romford on the 1851 census. Can't see his daughter Mary or Elizabeth Mary on the 1851. On Thomas snr's son's marriage cert he is shown as an innkeeper. The 1851 shows him being a retired victualler and the 1843 PO directory has a Thomas Thorne under the Virginia Tavern off Cornhill in the city. All the bits seem to add up so far. |

But both Thomas snr & jnr are plasterers in 1841. Is this correct? |
