Shakesby in Hull 1854 onwards.

I have found the birth of Emily Shakesby in Hull 1854. Daughter of William and Elizabeth nee Hewson.
Emily appears on the 1861 census but I cannot trace her after that. No death registered either.
There is an Emily who married Geo. Willingham but there is a ten/twelve year age difference between the girls and Emily no. two is on census as the child of James and Harriett Shakesby.
Any suggestions anyone, please?

I think you are right about death of Hiram and late marraige to Geo. I saw that yesterday. Am glad someone came to the same conclusion. Just need to find someone who knows of them now on another tree!

After digging this morning I found that a Caroline Barnett of Oldham married Hiram Atlinson in Oldham. This may be the Caroline Atkinson living with Geo. Shakesby as housekeeper in Hull.
I cannot find a death for Hiram between 1871 and 1881 but she could have been widowed and married in her original name of Barnett.

Thanks everybody for this Shakesby info. As I said before I have been looking at Shakesby for sometime. I found the record of marriage for George and Caroline on Yorks BMD but I don't have the certificate.
There are so many Geos. that it is difficult to determine which is which at times.
I see that there is a Caroline Atkinson living with a Geo. I will try to look at that today.
