Renes

Ancestry baptisms have fathers name and surname but not mother maiden name ,only forename.
It gives fathers occupation and the address and often has exact date of birth in margin.

Marriages give you everything you get on marriage cert as they are scans of the original at the time of marriage when entered in the book.
Some are hard to read though
But you do need to look at the image to see all details.

What you after?

Husband never found in 1911 - nor second daughter - if it is her daughter

Feel bad as am interested in what happened - but not enough to send for certs - my Grannies second daughter was named after her

Hi all

was out for most of the day, and only just getting around to being on here.

Gins asked why things went wrong if measured.

I assure you everything was measured at least 3 times

BUT our houses here are all built of wood, and they settle and twist. Plus we are in an earthquake area, with lots and lots of little 'quakes all the time.

Architect daughter also maintains that there is not a building in Canada that has perfect walls and perfect 90 degree angles, partly because they are built very fast.

The problem with our kitchen was that the walls in fact were NOT perfectly smooth and even, and thus the cabinets could not always fit exactly against them. The corner was not a perfect 90 degree angle ............. it was probably more like 88 degree. All just enough to put the two countertops out by mms at their juncture.

The only way one could get perfect fitting would be if you made everything out of blown foam and let it harden into shape, then it would form itself around all these minute problems!
