Good morning :-D
It's lovely to see such a wonderful breakfast spread on such a miserable, dark, wet morning. Thanks Sylvs.... <3
It seems as though the problem with the boiler was the fact that the gas pressure had dropped and the pilot light had gone out and affected summat. Hopefully, it will be agreed that it is too old and needs replacing.
A huge pile of ironing and a brand new audio story to listen to........bliss :-D

Cynthia glad your daughter will be cosy tonight :-)
Dea oh that pooe fox. I know some people think they are vermin but I think they arre lovely. We once had one that stayed in our back garden for a few days it had obviously been hit by a car and had an injured paw.
I phoned my Dad and asked him if I should call the RSPCA and he said not too cos they would put it down. We fed and watered kit for a couple of days and when the food want being eaten we knew it was fit enough to fend for itself again
O ff to do my Christmas cards

We had a 'big beesty' in the back garden last week!!
Got up and went out back - we have a side gate (to keep the grandchildren locked in safely ;-) )
Something rather large had burrowed under the gate to enter into the garden - then we found over the other side that something had made another tummel under the fence into next doors garden, chewing away at the bottom of the fence as it went !!!
It could not have been a fox as they just climb over the fences but someone suggested that it might have been a badger??
Dea Xxx
Talking about foxes - last year we awoke and looked out of our front window to be greeted by the sight of a fox 'strangulated' on out front fence! - It was like something out of 'The Godfather' !!
It had obviously climbed up, lost it's footing and fallen down with it's neck between the posts..........uuuurrrghhhh !!! - poor thing !!
There were lots of scratch marks where it had obviously tried to climb back up to release itself but to no avail !!
Don't want to see that again !! :-(

What was he going to do.....throw it at the fox????
Just been to daughter's and taken her her Sunday roast beef lunch which she polished off happily. She is using the blow dryer I took down yesterday, so at least she has one warm room.
As I was leaving, the engineer called and said he hoped to be there tonight :-S
It is now about 27 hours since it was reported. Not good enough.
Tis cold indeed.......brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

He looks up at us, saunters around, cocks his leg on a shrub and walks orf like he owns the gaff!
JB was a second too late with IPad :-(

Oh bless, your daughter must be freezing as well as being upset :-(
Boilers have an average 10 year life span so she really should be having a new one fitted

OOOhhh - I'm glad there is no 'elk' on the menu here today - I don't fancy that :-0 :-(
Everything else looks georgeous though and I am particularly looking forward to some of that Apple Galette, served warm, with vanilla gelato and caramel sauce after my lunch :-)
Thank you Sylvs <3
Cynthia - I do hope they fix your daughter's boiler very soon, she must be getting very upset about it all and it is SO cold at the moment too. :-(

Are you saying 'yummy' to the breakfast or to the delicious Elk which Sylvs has last night Gins?????????
Thank you Sylvs - porridge please and the rest looks gorgeous.
Daughter reported her boiler just before 2pm yesterday and they still haven't been. She went to bed at midnight to keep warm.
Dea, her boiler is 17 years old and has been repaired umpteen times. It's very annoying because others (she's with a housing association) in her close have moved in and out and new boilers have been fitted to most of them. :-| :-|
I sent an email to the head office in Liverpool yesterday and I can see I will be making an official complaint today or tomorrow. She is down as 'vulnerable' because of her AS, OCDs and Fibromyalgia too!
She was in a right state yesterday :-(

we had a lovely meal, as always.
