that's just it .................. I don't think they do have wireless.

If they have wireless Sylv you should be able to use your laptop by putting their number in....dont ask me what or where it is, but daughter ask HID so she could use her ipod when she was here

you asked a couple of days ago if I would have internet access while we are away.

Not on the train.

Daughter et al have internet but are not keen on me accessing my sites from their computer ................. I usually check my email and send responses every couple of days.

I'm also not sure whether OH will take the laptop .......... it's really just one more piece of baggage to look after. And, if we do, I'm not sure whether it would work in their house as a wireless internet access. It does here in our house, but I think we have a different set-up.



How about if I email you occasionally from there, and you can distribute the news as you like on this thread and on the dark side?????????

Then you will at least know that I am still alive :-D

eye exam went really well :-D

I had photos taken of below the surface of the retina, not just of the surface.

It tells the specialist what is going on below the surface ......................

.............. I was absolutely fascinated looking at the pictures on the computer.


Anyway, he found nothing wrong .............. but says it would not be a bad idea to go back every year or 2 years for them to do updates.


I also had glaucoma test, with 3 different eye drops .................... it took about 3 hours for my eyes to get back to normal!

It was a good meeting this morning - all about housing for folk with autism. I have to do some forward thinking for when we ain't about anymore and what is to happen to daughter. She's been living independently for 17 years but any problems are shovelled onto me. I feel bad about having to pass the responsibility on to her brother if you know what I mean. :-(


Never mind.....we live in hope :-D


We're forecast to have snow overnight but, hopefully, it will be gone by morning.....yay! I certainly don' t want a repeat of that scene with me trailing around in my nightie and wellies again...... ;-)



Just thought......I've never even had an acknowledgement re the emails I sent to the Housing Association about my daughter's wait for heat last weekend. Hmmmm methinks I will have to check that tomorrow. sigh.....
