is anyone else getting "error 503" when trying to view their family tree?

Linda

Linda Report 1 Jan 2013 21:16

Cynthia I started to sort out seperate photo albums for my sons a few years back. had photos all over the table was getting on great when we had to clear the table cos youngest son had a maths tutor coming out to help him prepare for his exams :-(

Since then life keeps getting in the way. I would love someone else to do it for me ;-)

I still have a huge box of my parents photos from when my their house was sold last year. My siblings want me to sort it all through but I want at least one of them to help cos one of them is sure to say they wanted a copy of some photo or other :-S

I haven't had time to pick up my FT in a while it will be like starting all over again but I have promised myself that I am going to get back to it soon.

I actually enjoy doing it am getting withdrawal symptoms ;-)

Nice to see Chris and LK popping in......~~~~~~~~~~ waves happily..... :-D

Have been spending a lot of time looking through old photos of my son. He is 40 in February and one of his friends is putting a This is Your Life book together for him. I was going to do it but am happy to hand it over to someone else... :-D

There were lots of happy memories but seeing the dark haired young girl with a smiling baby was a shock to the system. dear oh dear....where has time gorn?

Wanted to pop in to Tesco and get some potatoes and found that, because it's a bank holiday, and the shop was due to close at 6, it was nearly empty! It was wonderful chugging round the aisles in complete freedom............

.......it's the little things that make us happy.......... ;-)

Have also been trying to sort out some ancestors. I sent away for some records from the Bucks FHS and have been attempting to make sense of them. No doubt I will get there in the end :-D

See you soon ~~~~~#

Thank you for the update on your daughter Jonesey.

Mixed news indeed but, hopefully, she will soon know one way or the other how her condition is going to be dealt with. Even if it is decided than surgery is the best way forward, it will be worth it to have her free from pain.

My son had a similar operation several years ago and recovered quite quickly. It was such a relief for him to be free from the restrictions which the disc problem had caused.

Please pass on our very best wishes to her........you could tell her they are from her dad's funny friends :-D :-D :-D

Meanwhile, back to the job in hand..

Let's get the kettle on......... :-D

I will just put out a light breakfast

Cereal
Fresh rolls and croissants
Spreads
Bread for toasting

The bacon and other things required for a Full English, I will leave in the fridge but please help yourselves.

(There is a special large barm cake known round here as a 'bin lid' just for Dea. She can fill it with bacon and mushrooms when she arrives.

Not sure about Gins comment that we keep her 'sane'. I would say we are failing miserably.......... :-D :-D

Hope you all had a good night........I didn't even hear the clock strike 12 :-D

HAPPY NEW YEAR

To those kind enough to enquire about my daughter. The latest news is a little mixed. Her latest scan revealed that the fractured vertebrae have fused and as a result of that she no longer has to wear the support collar.

Unfortunately however it is not all good news. The healed bones are not in proper alignment and the disc between them is being squeezed (Spinal Herniation) meaning that she is almost in constant pain. Whilst the pain can to a certain extent be controlled with pain killers it is obviously not an ideal situation especially when bearing in mind her other medical issues. She is now awaiting an appointment at the Neurosurgery Department of the new Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham to see whether the condition will heal itself of its own accord or whether surgery will be required to correct the situation.

I will keep you posted.

Thank you Jonesey, my sentiments exactly and wishing you and your family the same. <3 <3

Dea dearest.....I don't 'do' festivities.....I will just be glad when it's all over, so it's no problem...... ;-)

I rather like these words for this time of year....

Year's end is
neither an end nor a beginning
but a going on
with a wisdom
that experience
can instill in us.

With my love........... <3
