Too many changes at once, I think. There are bound to be bugs in some of them. And it's just too much at once for some people, I don't doubt. Me included, I think.

The open Add box at the bottom -- that's how it was until a round of changes some time ago, and I don't doubt that taking it away resulted in more PMs.

The help clinic ... that looks like fun. E'n, what a hoot! Exactly -- why shouldn't someone who already has a thread ask in the help clinic?? Why would anyone think that the rule about not posting more than once applied there?? It isn't a board. Nobody else can reply in threads there. It's the help clinic. One of those people with the big fancy shmancy stars, I've never even heard of before.

So about whom shall I ask? I think William Hill between 1861 when he was a boy on a ship in Devon to 1881 when he was married with kids in Lancashire (those who read recent posts in the Ernest Monck thread may recall). Yes, I think I should.
