The Mormon site:

http://www.familysearch.org/eng/default.asp

Be wary of submitted records as they are not always accurate but worth learning your way around.

Not all records are on there, but they hold a lot of films of parish records so you can order those in to your local Mormon church and view them there.

Hello Jill

What do you mean family search site..this one?

Yes, Maria and William on the 1851 census when their son Thomas was two years old.

I have Thomas' birth certificate copy.

Thanks

Have you tried to find one or both of them on the familysearch site?

Have you found them together in any of the censuses?

What was the name of the child and when was he/she born?

Maria Lester, born 1821 approximately. She had a child with William Potter, born 1791 approximately named Thomas. They were living in Mile End Old Town, Stepney at that time. Please could anyone help with Marias year and place of birth, possible marriage to William or any other information please. Never had to search pre-1837 really!

Many thanks.
