Hi,

Its me again! I'm after fletchers (different branch of Fletchers!)

My Grandad is Alfred James Fletcher b1928, sister June Fletcher b1927c (cant find her!) & Brother Charles L Fletcher, their parents were Alfred Charles Fletcher b1896c & Lily Violet Warr (in marriages says Ware)

Alfred Fletcher b1896c I cant seem to find any siblings for, his parents were Alfred Fletcher 1867c & Eliza Akers 1867c (No siblings for him either!)

Alfred 1867c's father was Charles Fletcher b1847c & I think his mother was Ann(e) I'm not tooooo sure about it tho! I'm looking for siblings for all but my brain isnt workin very well at the moment and keeps questioning itself!! I'd really appreciate a fresh pair of eyes if you will :o)

Have you looked for the sister under the mother's surname?

The only Charles L Fletcher birth is in 1922 with MMN Fletcher

I think its the London area, my mum thinks my grandads dad died in 1961 ish so give or take a year, and he was approaching retirement so he was aged about 63-70 area when he passed, Lilly Fletcher (Nee Warr) died before Alfred did.

'Doll' is more likely to have been Doris

I can't find a suitable birth for June Fletcher, and as already said, the only birth to a Charles L is with mmn Fletcher, which implies a different family. So where have you got these sibling's names from please?

I assume you have your parents' marriage certificate showing your grandfather as Alfred James Fletcher. If so, does it state his father as Afred Charles Fletcher, and does it give an occupation for his father?

Perhaps you have your father's birth certificate showing his father as Alfred James Fletcher - yes?

I just don't want us to go down the wrong path.

Sorry Loo, but I didn't read the other thread, so perhaps I am a bit in the dark.

Can you just confirm that you know that Alfred James is your grandfather, via either your father's marriage cert or his birth cert. And if via your father's birth cert, that his mother is Lily Violet Warr.

That then ties up nicely with the marriage:
