Can someone please look up a 1901 Census. I'm looking for James Barr b. 1867 nr. Ayr, Scotland. I believe he's still single because the 1911 census states he'd been married 6 years. His father is Robert Barr, manager of a colliery as stated on James' marriage certificate to Grace Oliver on 27 November 1904. James' mum was born 1877 in Gateshead, Co. Durham.

I agree with your thinking re the name 'James Robert Barr' and the family you followed. My confusion is James Robert's son, James. The 1871 Census he's 9 yrs old, making his D.O.B. 1862, whereas my James was b. 1867 hence my confusion and why I'm stuck.
