Find Ancestors

Please could someone see if they can find Joseph and Ann Rushworth Somewhere in Yorkshire. ??? leeds area. I'm afraid I havent got much to go on. I believe Joseph and Ann married about 1813 in Haworth York.

Please can anyone fin them for me.

There's a Joseph in Leeds in1841 - possibly the right sort of age - but the female in the household is named Elizabeth

Do you have any idea of when they were born?

Vera as far as I know the joseph you have found is Joseph's and Anns son.

I have Jonathan Rushworths marriage cert and it says that his father was Joseph Rushworth. I have a Joseph and Elizabeth on the 1851 census but the ages are wrong to be jonathans dad. So he must be his brother. I also haave a Joseph aged 20 , Martha aged 25 and Jonathan aged 15.on the 1841 Because of their ages they must be brothers and sister. So I still have to find Joseph. The igi has Joseph and Ann marrying in Haworth Yorkshire in 1813. So I guess that these could be his (Jonathans) parents.

I am trying to confirm these details

I am just thinking this could be a second marriage....as the Joseph on the 1841 that Flick found a cloth dresser there was no wife.

If Ann died in 1839 then that would account for Jonathan being alone with his son George on the 1851 census that Flick kindly found for me. Its all beginning to fall into place.

You have firm info about Jonathan Rushworth born c1826 - and his father's name was supposedly Joseph - is this correct?

Who witnessed Jonathan's marriage? Who was his wife?

Where was Jonathan born?

What makes you say the age in 1841 of Joseph (with Elizabeth) is wrong?

Joseph is c60 years of age.........................

Yea I think Joseph and Ann are Jonathans parents.

Because of him being born in 1826 I cant prove it.

Let me try and answer some of your questions.

Jonathan Rushworth and Elizabeth Faubert married 1850. Jonathans father Joseph witnessed the marriage. Aslo Sarahs mother. Jonathan was 24 at time of marriage. I have the cert. It also says Joseph was a Cloth dresser.

The 1851 census you found is my family. I'm not sure that Jonathan was born in Gildersome. These are the only things I have actual proof of.

I dont have Joseph and Martha in the 1851 census living together.
.
All I have is a Joseph born about 1819 32yrs Head and his
wife Elizabeth aged 33.
Martha aged 9 daughter
Elizabeth 10 months.

This is why I think Joseph his brother married Elizabeth.
