Madmeg, thanks they are the right family as I have all that info, but not the FreeBMD record for

Thanks Ginny, I have looked at Christine's tree, it is not the right year for his death although everyone seems to have that year. There are only 2 deaths reg. 1849 Bristol and having bought both certs. have confirmed this. Regards Brenda

Brenda, there is nothing wrong with George's age being of 30 on the 1841 census. Ages were rounded down to the nearest 5 years, so he could have been anything from 30 to nearly 35 (as was Jane).

Not that it helps us find George's death, but how do you know Richard is not George's son (but little George is, presumably it says so on his death cert)?
