Hi Cynthia, I got the details from one of the census' quite a long time ago. I have visited the house "Dam House" in Alston where those Tippings lived. I didnt have a link between the early Tippings and the later ones. I also went to the church in Alston where the Baptisms are registered, the names were correct but the years of their births were not the the same, They were only out by a year or so but it threw me, which as i am sure you have gathered by now isn't hard.

Your help has been appreciated, you are so fast.
Ive got to go to bed soon, early start for me tomorrow, so thankyou once again.

in early records JAMES & MARY would possibly have been written as
Jacobi and Maria
