Member Since: September 2008 Posts: 5 Send Message	This is definatley the right Jane Ann Cochrane, unfortunatly the \andrew McCracken with the parents of John and Mary was a gardener who died in dumfries and not my ancestor who went on to be a policeman in Cumbria, but I do appreciate the help and any further assistance you can give Tnhanks Shirley

McCRACKEN. - On the 25th 1903, at Carlisle, Elspeth (Elsie) COCHRANE, beloved daughter of Jane Ann and Andrew McCRACKEN, Police Station, Dearham, aged 9 years 2 weeks. Interred at the Carlisle Cemetery.

	The 1911 census can be accessed on http://www.1911census.co.uk/ - a pay to view site, although the seaching is free. Find My Past also have the 1911 census where you can take out a subscription to view the census, which works out more economic if you want to look for more than 10 images. I have a subscription and can send you the 1911 image of the family I posted before, if you pm me your email address. It should be possible to trace the family back futher with the Family Search site - which is free and the census. I will look later if no one else has already helped you.
