Samspade, I think this is the wrong place - as far as I know Hockley Heath is in Warwickshire, near to Solihull. I think it came under Stratford-upon-Avon at one point.

I have just been looking at my records for 1911 Census, i do try to solve the problem before i bother anybody, but Dear Albert is proving a bit of a problem. !!!!!
I don't have any info on Sarah (daughter) but will have a look on 1911 - thanks for your help.
I think Albert was given his Mothers maiden name, i take it that his Mother died ??? as his Grandmother is named on his Army Records, but maybe not !!!!!!!

WW1 service records have Albert Edward Neale his next of kin is Sarah Neale grandmother of Lapworth Street,Hockley Heath near Birmingham

I've had a quick look at the 1911 census and there is Sarah Agnes Neale living in Hockley Heath unfortunatley I cannot see the original but here are the details

I wonder if Albert took his mother's married name therefore would be registered in his mother's maiden name and not a Neale at all? it wasn't unusual for this to happen.

Yes Albert Edward Neale married Eliza Annie Lodge in 1920 in Conway he was a baker and he died in Dec 1927, i am trying to find the birth cert of Albert, we think his Mother was a Sarah.

I am looking for my friend, Eliza was her Grandmother.
I am also trying to find her husband Albert Edward Neale - got so many birth certs i could paper the wall with them !!!!! we were told by my friends Father that his Father was born here, there???? it seems he was born in Middlesex?? in 1892, or so his Army info says, what we are trying to find is a birth cert without a Fathers name - my friends Father threw away his Fathers birth cert as he had no Fathers name on it !!!!!!!!!!!
I have been looking for ages with no luck.
If you get a bit of time with nothing to do have a look for me !!!!!!!!!!
