I'm in touch with a descendant here in Canada.

Hi Margaret,
Is it Doris Boag who like myself is maried to a John Blott, born 2 miles apart, within 2 years of each other and never met.
Doris was very helpful to me in my early search for Blotts.
I have now got a family tree for each of the three brothers, my husband being descended from Joseph through his son Walter b. Madras India 1878, brother of John George b. Malta 1870 and brought to Eston in 1880.
I just keep adding on now as bits of useful information comes my way.
How are you related? then I can slot you in so to speak,
Eston is no longer the place that the Blotts lived in - we went back for a look - 50 years after John moved to another area o Middlesbroug.

Yes, Joan, same Doris. She was also very helpful to me in my early research before I knew that I was related to her husband.
Don't know if you'd want to slot me in, it's a bit complicated. I'm related through the Beans. Incidentally my gt. grandad Bean was the Cemetery Superintendant at Eston cemetery so probably buried a lot of your lot. Sorry, I'm off on a tangent again.

I'm descended from their son James Bean who married Mary Ord's sister Elizabeth. (2 brothers married 2 sisters.)
