	The checking service would save you £4.00 if the cert was not the right person. You could use her husband's name as the checking point - as she would have been registered as 'wife of'' when she died. Unless George died first, in which case, she would be recorded as 'widow of' - but his name should still be on the cert.

	Thanks Freewheel, If I ordered more than one cert - would it be £3 to check each one until they [hopefully] found the correct one? I am having trouble finding a death within the time period my cousin has suggested - I am beginning to wonder if she just left her husband and her daughter and changed her name!! Elaine
