Hi all,

Addictive this isn't it ..? LOL

I did find a Wilson Featherstone b 1843 in the 1911 census. on view.
living in Newcastle-upon Tyne Northumberland

Any good Peter ?

Thanks for straightening that out, Sylvia, re: Ralph, and sorry to lead you astray, Peter!

I did get a kick out of your statement, Peter, that Westmorland is a long way from Durham & West Yorkshire. For us Canadians that's just a short hop!

Hello again, yes it is addictive! Well, I would say that Wilson in 1911 is almost certainly 'our' Wilson, especially with the 1924 death. Also, John Featherstone senior (1816-bet 1881-1891) did have some brothers whose children I have not accounted for yet, so it may I am related to the Stanhope Featherstones through these lines.

Also, yes, lol, I agree that Westmorland to County Durham is not very far, but I was trying to imagine this with an c. 1800s perpective, i.e. travellings by horse and cart ... I like to think I am a little well travelled ;)

My grandfathers Sister Elizabeth Spark 1873 Stanhope married John Featherstone Walton born 1871 Stanhope.
His grandfather was Featherstone Walton 1788 Stanhope
