Well done you have found my ggf Charles, how do i know he is the right one ? my aunt Edith ( whose father was told me this week that Charles mother and father were Enoch and Mary ,my aunt is 80 years of age and has a sharp mind.
I will be collecting the marriage certificate of Charles and Edith on Friday so i will let you know if it is the right one, but going on what you have both found i believe it is, how wonderful.
I was always told that Charles was born in Wales but it was Wednesbury, maybe it was his father Enoch instead my gggf.

You are a treasure, i got has far as 1841 last nite, you have come up with the same as me, but even more !!
Could i ask you a couple of questions? why is there no 1881 census on here and how to i go about getting more information on Thos and Ann ?Also do you think that Thos and Ann where Benjamin's parents or grandparents because they seem quite old.
I am so grateful for this, you do realise i have other sides to my family once i have finished with the Lloyds!
There are Joseph grandparents (Silks) Edith Lily Silk parents
On Joseph mothers side (Polly DOB 10/10/1899) Hocknulls and i think Jenkins - will now more when i get Pollys birth certificate on Friday.
Then my mother Valerie June LLoyd (Dolphin) born Walsall 20/08/1937 MARRIED my father Joseph William Lloyd 24/03/1958 Vals mother was Nellie Crook D.O.B 04/11/1911 born Wolverhampton - father Charles James Dolphin 22/05/1904Walsall - MARRIED Walsall Staffs 23/04/1930 the list goes on !!

Me again, i have been searching for Thos and Ann, i presume going on the 1841 census, that Thos (maybe Thomas?) would have been born 1781 and Ann maybe 1782?.
I have checked the births/marriage but it dosen't go down as far as 1837! what do i need to do to get this information.
I have been checking the death records- but would this give me their D.O.B

I think you should get Benjamin Lloyd marriage cert to confirm his fathers name and there might be more clues with the witnesses.


1881 census is free so on here you cant get it but on Familysearch.org you can and parish records.

myself i dont use this site for census i use ancestry it cost more on here

And death cert do you give ages on them
