No luck with 1881 in scotland ,or immigration.

All the possible births for Daniel Campbell from Scotlands people going on when they say he was born on the US census.
Afew credits needed to wade through that lot to see if you can find his mothers maiden name.
But I would go for number 2 first as it is the same place as the marriage posted below.
