Would you agree that George and Ann look promising as were in Uttoxeter. There have only been 4 boys born descended from George and they were called George or William George or George William. Its a big conundrum isnt ti. Thanks again Nan

I think George and Ann and their sons George and William look very promising indeed.

I've pondered every Geo* in Uttoxeter in 1841, and in/born in Uttoxeter in 1851, to just no avail. If anything does spring up, I'll be sure to add it!

btw, for info, this William in 1841:

Name: William Deakin
Age: 25
Estimated Birth Year: abt 1816
Gender: Male
Where born: Staffordshire, England

Civil parish: Uttoxeter

has been mistranscribed by Ancestry - he is really shown as 15, as is the Catherine Johnson in the household. He is an ag lab.

Possibly worth a look in 1841:

Name: William Deabin - Deakin, obviously
Age: 25
Estimated Birth Year: abt 1816
Gender: Male
Where born: Staffordshire, England

Civil parish: Stone

male servant on farm of William Woolley.
