I wonder if he lied about his age on the marriage - perhaps Nora was a bit younger than him? Although she had been married previously it was only 2 years before.

How do you know his father's address in 1919? Or was that Henry's address - he may not have been still living with his parents at 34 years old. Had he been married before too?

Barbara

Barbara Report 31 Aug 2009 13:05

I think he may have lied about his age, on the marriage certifate, here's the mark of Henry as a X ,
I Foung another marriage of a Henry South to Elisabeth Lynch and that also as a X as the mark of Henry, so could this be my Henry , What do you think ?

Hi Vivienne,
On the Marriage to Elizabeth Lynch, it states Henry as a Labouer and Father the same, can't make out the name of the Father on the form,
Wittness 1 Mary Sullivan
Wittness 2 Louisa Wilkinson.
Best regards

I can not find a death for Elizabeth South.
Nor can I find a marriage to Emily in the right area /timescale.
Or a death for Emily
It will need more searching for that.
