Yes, that was really confusing. It stumped me for a long time. Thomas married twice and both his wives were called Sarah! First one was Sarah Mansfield and second Sarah Cooper. I cannot find his second marriage but their first son - John Cooper Hallam was born in 1845.

well, here's an apparent marriage of a Sarah Cooper and a Thomas Hallam ........ but it's 1839.
