Trying to find information on Alice Gregory born 1883
On a marriage certificate just received it states in 1922,living St Leonards Cottage, Station Road, Bedford
Father is John Cartwright Gregory, Miller
I dont know anything about her and would like census information about her siblings, and mother and where she was born. It will also help when i look for her in 1911

On the originalimage it shows father John's proffesion as being a Miller. His middle name has been mistranscribed. It also shows that Alice was born in Cuddington Cheshire.

Karen, in 1881 the censu shows he is a widow..If you go to Family Search you can view this census for free,
It also shows he has Frederick Hornby -bro-in-law living with him , so his first wife's name looks like it would be the same,
He also has a servant,, Eliza Newton,,,maybe he married her ?
As his has given different ages on the census , he's provong a bit of a bugger to find..lol..
I will keep looking,,

who did she marry

Hi jen
She married Thomas Archibald Capner in 1922 Bedford. Kenneth Carlton was one of the sons born 1910 Kendal. I cant find her or Thomas Capner ,boatbuilder on the 1911 census. He already had a family .so that is why they called the children surname Gregory not Capner on the birth certificate of Kenneth. Its all a bit of a mystery
