Good Afternoon Dea - yes, very funny. I have been searching around re the Benjamin you found. I cannot find him on FMP or Family Search, but there is one listed on Ancestry. Can't access it as I'm out of credits. I have looked at Alan Neelans postings for Kerry's on Rootsweb, but can't link John and Benjamin, although he has alot of Kerry's. Many seem to come from Norfolk, so could be two lines of Kerry's, possibly cousins. Alan, is a cousin to Liz Harrison, and is a realtor in Conneticut, by the way. He and Liz, are descended from the Kerry/Turner line, I am from the same Turner line.
Many thanks

There is a Benjamin I am 'quite keen on' in 1841 born 1796 and living in Middlesex with wife Margaret + daughter Harriet - He is a Farrier.

On 1851 - he is born Winfarthing, Norfolk + wife Mary ???? and daughter Harriet

Have a look and see what you think?

Let me know.

Dea - I have found several Benjamin Kerry's reg'd in Diss, the same as John. But none seem to have been born close to his birth date, to have been his brother.

Dea - have just spent all afternoon looking through an old pile of papers, and it is a big pile, believe you me,and you may be right about him being born in Norfolk. I have a note that he was born 1802/3 possibly in Diss.
But I cannot find his parentsI apologise if I have put you to alot of trouble
Many thanks

Yes, yes Dea, Liz Harrison is a distant cousin of mine, through the Turner ancestor who married George Kerry. We pass stuff onto each other. She has access to sites that I do not, and I do what I can from this end. She is in America
Many thanks

Do you know someone called Elizabeth Harrison who appears to have a connection to your family?

There are apparently links to Germany + other countries, especially with reference to the 'horsey' world.

Let me know and I will find the link again.

Dea - thank you for trying to help. I wouldn't like to say yes or no to him being born in Norfolk, as the Kerry's have come from the Wood Ditton/Newmarket for what seems like centuries. There is a marriage of a Benjamin Kerry in 1790 at Wood Ditton. All the Kerry men have been involved with the horsey world, eg farriers, trainers, riders etc. and have very much been involved with Newmarket the establishment from way back.
I do not have any certs. for these people. One of my Turner family married George Kerry in 1850, and that is the connection, but I have been trying to get further back than George's father John.
Many thanks again

Hi Julia,

I have been searching on this half the morning but not getting much further.

I am convinced that John was born in Norfolk but cannot prove that.

Do you have any more details from certs etc? - Everything, including witnesses etc. - no matter how small the detail.

Thanks,

Dea x
