Really stumped! Looking for Edward Williams c1896

But one guess would be that Edward's parents weren't married, and he was registered under his mother's surname. Not Sheppard, not Kew ... |

The names on the baptism record are John and Louisa Williams. The only other original documentation I have of Louisa is the record of her marriage to William Kew (in 17 Oct 1882) when she was 19 (Pontypool District). Her father is listed as William Shepherd (Collier) and at the time of the marriage she lived in Cwmbran (Llanfrechfa Upper). |
