I know that you are not persuaded that this is the correct family, but I would keep it on file until you can be 100% sure that it is not correct!!

To find out more about the father of Tom, who I believe to be Frederick Broadbent, you would have to buy the marriage cert. which will give you his age and profession and also his fathers name and profession. It will also confirm her fathers name.

The birth cert for Tom will also confirm parents names.

You can never be 100% sure about any findings without buying a couple of certificates, unfortunately.

There's a good chance that Frederick remarried, and had other children, so there's a possibility that Tom had half brothers and sisters that he never knew about. That's quite exciting, a whole new family that no one knew about!!!
