Hi can anyone give me any information as to whether there are any websites that list names of caualties from WW1 - I have a William Hall born 1885 in Cornwall in my tree, he married in 1906 and had children in 1906,1907 and 1913 - his wife remariied in 1922 so I presume he had died by then - I cannot find any record of his death on the BMI so I am wondering if he may have been killed in the 1st world war - can anyone help please |

Check www.cwgc.org (Commonwealth War Graves Commission) It shows deaths of both world wars. It is free |

You could buy the wife's remarriage certificate to see if she is a widow. |

Wrong second marriage Grumpy - it is the one found by Enritchart - but I already have this - I am looking for william Hall's death as I said he married Catherine Hugo 1906 they had children, william in 1906, Sidney in 1909 and Hyacinth in 1913 - she later married Robert Thomas 1922 and ad Victor in 1923 - but I can't find when William would have died - I suppose they could have divorced but that is quite unlikely |

could go on all night but i think the advice about buying her 2nd marriage certificate to establish whether she was a widow is probably your best bet |

Very long shot I would say - Truro is quite a long way from Redruth - also he was definately born 1886 so would have been 26 in 1912 also that death was jan feb mar quarter 1912 - Hyacinth wasnt born until 1913 |
