Can anyone help me. I am looking for John Day and his marriage to Ellen Bateley or Batley. John was born in 1834 & died in 1884? |

PaulaW, I am wondering about John Day aged 22. I have been led to believe that Ellen Bateley was John Day's (head of household) house keeper. Maybe John was married before and had a son John Day. The age between these children might suggest this. Is there any way to trace this? |

On the 61 census, John is unmarried, age 27 with housekeeper Ellen Blakley, 20 and son John Samuel, 2. Sure looks like John Samuel is son of John and his housekeeper. |

Do you have this one for Ellen alone in 1891? |

The only way to know who John Samuel's mother was is to buy his birth certificate. |

Hi everyone. Thank so much for all that information. It is wonderful. I have just found a cousin with all the above in his tree but not too many details. As far as he knows there is a death record in Lambeth for Henry Day 1878. This may be him. |

Pauline if you are thinking about buying the certificate you can get 'them' to check the parents name. |

Thank you for those details. It is interesting as Bridget Hayes has been put down as Aunt and then lower on the page she was adopted. Can you tell me if there is any way to find her adoption? |

Hi again, can you help me find John Day's death certificate. He was born about 1834 and died about 1888. The place would be Lambeth |

Thank you so much. I think it is possible that the first name you have is the one. |

Can you help me find information on Robert Day about 1900. I believe Robert Day 1873 was his father. Robert Day married Catherine Anderson. They all lived in Lambeth London |
