I'm hoping that someone has access to marriage records for the Aberdeen area.
I'm trying to find the marriage for my Grandmothers parents.
They were William Geddes born St Nicholas parish Aberdeen 1875
and Agnes Thomson.I have no further info for her.
They had at least 6 children the first Robert born about 1895 and my Grandmother Catherine born about 1908.
His parents were John Geddes born 1850 Rathen and Margaret Ann Pirie born 1855 Turriff.. They were married in Fraserburgh in about 1871.
Any help on this would be Great.
Poor Agnes is the only one i know nothing about
Thank you
Cathie

There's a William Geddes marries in St Nicholas, Aberdeenshire, in 1894, and another in 1895, but neither to an Agnes Thomson.

Is this them in 1901. Perhaps the middle initial can help narrow it down, and the fact that she was born in Inverurie.

There is a birth of a William Geddes in Aberdeen in 1875 if you looked at the birth certificate it could give the parents marriage date. Or try the 1881 census.

I couldn't find the parents marriage either on SP.

Thanks Liz,
I think this may be them,
I know they did have a Robert,he died in the first world war,I don't have a William but he may not have survived. It makes sense to name a child after the father'
Thanks Cathie

Liz,
the Robert matches up, the T stands for Thomson.
Thanks again

Just a guess but I wonder if this is her? The parents are both from Fyvie. There is another 2 Agneses born in Inverurie but one is living in Brechin and the other, born in 1874 is still in Inverurie.
