Sarah Report 27 Sep 2008 22:11

I'm trying to find my great grandmother Sarah Bellerby - I don't know if she was SarahAlice or SarahAnn. I belived she was SarahAlice to begin with.

My initial lead took me to her father called George Bellerby (b. 1854); showing SarahAlice (b.1892), sister Eliza and twin sisters MaryAnn and Jane.

Upon checking with my grandmother (the wife of Sarah Bellerby's son) it turns out Sarah Bellerby actually had sisters called Eliza, Bertha and Ethel. This Eliza had a son called Denis/Dennis. Now my grandfather (Sarah's son) is called Dennis and he is one of 10 children. My granddad's brothers and sisters are Tommy, Joe, Etty, Pat, Terry, Ken, Mary, Barry and Jimmy. I believe each family member was born in Stockton-on-Tees.

I'm so lost! Each lead shows 7-10 children all with such simliar names and in the end, sisters and brothers are now confused with nephews and nieces - I wonder if anyone can help?!

Regards,

Sarah Rachel Twigg
