It's still possible that Catherine may be living with another relative. Many times families were split up because of work and financial means.

It is Thomas Hunt I am looking for, In the 1891 census when he was with his family there is no mention of Catherine

Catherine may have been living with her mother in 1881.

Andy, I think the Thomas Hunter born in Galway abt. 1847 may be the one you're looking for. He resided with his sister in 1881 and then he was residing with his family in 1891. The 1881 census did state that he was married. I'll see if I can find Mary in Cheshire (her place of birth).

Don't think this is the right Thomas, in 1881 we should see a mention to his daughter Catherine she would be about 7 years old

Andy, the 2nd Thomas was a coalminer in 1891--the other one was a dock laborer. The one married to Mary in 1891.

I think i've have gone down the wrong track, Thomas Hunt Catherine's Father was a Coal Miner, I was hoping to find Catherine as a child living with Thomas and his wife

My mistake, it was Thomas who was a coalminer.

I think you need to wait and see on the 1911 census for John and Catherine Ludden. We don't have any info. such as date or place of birth for John. How much older or younger was he?

I am doing this for my mother in Law, Looks the this may be the one, but the information I have from the marrage certificate is that they married on the 13/08/1902 at St Patericks church in oldham, I will check this out later

I also have Thomas down as a coal miner
