Find Ancestors

hi i am trying to find out about rebecca everitt nee blackwell born about 1821 in earls colne in essex. She married a daniel everitt sorry don't know date of marriage daniel everitt was born in chappel in essex about 1821. I am trying to find out about rebecca's father and mother i have looked on the freebmd sites and freebmdrootsweb and the igi sites but can't find them. I have got rebecca's death as dec 1867 aged 46 from a lady called sylvia ( in canada ) this lady was a great help to me when was trying to find the everitts.
So if anyone can help me i would be most grateful.

Which of Daniel's children is your ancestor?

Of the ones on the 1851 census......two were born before he married Rebecca.............
If either of them is your direct ancestor, you may have to consider that Rebecca is not....................

There are two marriage reg'ns for Daniel Everit(t) in Lexden district in 1842...............he may well have been married before.............

sorry it took so long to anwser,

george everitt was my great great grandfather born in 1848, he had a son called henry, and then henry had a daugther called alice who was my grandmother.

George was born c1848: that was before Daniel and Rebecca married...........

I was merely pointing out that it MAY be that Rebecca was not the mother of William and George, which would mean that you would have to find out who their mother was.

Unless, of course, you have George's birth cert, in which case, his mother's identity is not in doubt.............

i have had a talk with my aunt and she said that daniel everitt's wife was rebecca. Rebecca could have had george and william before her and daniel married and then they got married.
