Reginald A Stokes born Aston Birmingham 13/8/1908 emigrated to Canada 1926 on assisted passage leaving Liverpool March 1926 arriving Halifax 27 March 1926.Immigration Juvenile Inspection reports from Library and Archives Canada show that he worked in the Ontario area.He was married by January 1932 .His army records show that she was Effie Alberta,not sure if this is her maiden name.His records show that he was " In Sarnia Rd stated to be starving and his wife is in Toronto being cared for by the S.A. (Salvation Army?) January 1932".Salvation Army records show that no records prior to 1950 exist for these homes.Reginald was back in the Uk by August 1932 without Effie, can not find any trace of her.Can anybody help please? |
