Evelyn born to Rose Lewis. However, Rose may have given name as Tyler or Taylor. Rose was unmarried but had gone to Scotland with a married man - either Tyler or Taylor. We know she had a daughter called Evelyn. Evelyn is not registered in England. Don't know the first name of the father. It is possible that Evelyn was registered under a totally different christian name in which case it is obviously going to be very difficult to trace. Only known positive is that Rose Lewis was mother - although from certificates for other children even this was disguised. In one instance she said she was a widow and that her maiden name was Lewis and she gave a completely fictitious surname. |
