Melia - disowned by lancaster family

My great grandfather was originaly from Lamcaster dob circa 1897, one of several siblings, who was disowned by his family for getting together with an unmarried mother by the name of Florence Martin, who had a young son George (now deceased).
They went on to have three children born in London; Michael (k.a. Mick), Peter born in 1935 (my father) and Margaret born in 1938ish.
There are so many Melias in Lancaster listed during the 1901 census with children around that age - i'm not sure which would be the right family. Does anyone know of any "gossip" that may wittle down the numbers?
Thank You
Debbie
