they were married in STOCKPORT, CHESHIRE in 1878 and on the
1881 census for WEST DERBY LIVERPOOL John was the licensed Victualler of the Stanley Hotel in Prescot Road, West Derby, Liverpool. they had two childen Sarah E age 1 year, and
Joseph, age 1 month named after their grandfather.
By 1901 he was living in Foxhall, Blackpool, working as a Manager on the electric railway. he had further children by then namely
Elizabeth R, Margaret A,Mary and Gordon H.
I would love to be in contact with any of this family as ELLEN was
my g./aunt, daughter of JOSHUA and ELLEN HEWITT, of LIVERPOOL, West Derby, I have a question about one of ELLENs sisters and its possible that one of the present day family just might have some information for me.
