I've managed to follow Mary through the Census collection. Samuel and Mary have 8 children by 1901.

Any chance there's a marriage for this lady Wendy. Have her up to 1881 Census

Mary Maria Brown born 1863 in Kirkby in Ashfield.

sorry the only mary in Kirkby marrying is Mary Elizabeth, trouble is unless she states her middle name there is no telling who she married!hundreds of mary brown's none with the middle name Maria.
